Leveraging Shimano’s proprietary ARMA Boost technology, the Shimano Armajoint 190SS Swimbait is designed to solve the challenges of casting big jointed swimbaits and vastly improves casting distance and accuracy. As the angler casts the lure, an internal magnet forces the body to fold into a compact shape to reduce the chances of the lure spinning during flight and lessen air resistance. Once the Armajoint hits the water, the lure body reengages with the internal magnet to create smooth and natural swimming action with slow-floating action.
The new ARMABOOST mechanism solves the problems of big baits such as "not being able to fly long" and "spinning in flight. The body folds down to increase flying distance by 35% compared to models without ARMABOOST.
After landing on the water, the special plate connecting the bodies is semi-fixed by a magnet, producing a smooth swimming action. The lure swims well regardless of retrieve speed, and has excellent expressiveness with a swiveling action that minimizes the distance traveled.
