Dennis Brown was instrumental in the early 1990s developing fly patterns utilizing glass beads. This hook was designed specifically by Brown and Angler Sport Group for the use of glass beads in the body of the fly. It has features such as a continuous bend, barbless and standard wire so that beads with small holes will slide on easily.
The hooks are made of the finest high-carbon steel, which is hardened and tempered to an exacting formula that makes for a long point life and a very strong hook. Daiichi hooks use a 12-degree constant taper ground needle point eliminating irregularities in shape, assuring no weak spots, and gives amazing speed of penetration.
